When Should I Sell My Bridgnorth House?
By Andrew Ainge, Nock Deighton's Bridgnorth Office Principal
One of the most common questions I get asked is “when is the best time of year to sell my property?”.
Whilst it’s true that property sells all year round, there are particular times of year when homes sell quicker than others.
According to statistics from Rightmove and independent analysts, The Advisory, March is the month when property sells in the shortest amount of time - their research showed it took an average of 57 days from listing to sale for homes launched in March.
That rings true here in Bridgnorth, and spring is certainly a good time to get your house on the market. The nights are getting lighter, gardens start looking more appealing, and there is a general feeling of optimism which subconsciously helps people make decisions more quickly.
So if you are looking to sell - now is a great time to start speaking to estate agents to prepare your home, because as I have said before, preparation is key.
Your property needs to be staged to ensure it looks at its absolute best when photographs are taken and those first viewers step through the door.
