School Children asked to draw their Dream Home

What would be in your dream home?

A swimming pool? Cinema? A fishing lake stocked with hundreds of trout in the back garden?

Well, we’re asking the children of Shropshire to let their imaginations run wild and draw what their dream home would look like - and we’ll be using the best ones as images in our 2015 calendar.

The Big Draw competition launched on October 1 with schools in the Newport, Telford, Bridgnorth and Ludlow areas. We have sent details to primary schools in those areas because that’s where our main offices are based, but everyone is welcome to join in.

If you know of a school which might be interested please drop us a line by emailing [email protected] or calling 01746 766998. We are asking for entries to be submitted by October 16, when the top 20 entries from each area will be chosen to be published on our Facebook page. People will then be able to log on to www.facebook.com/nockdeighton from October 20 to choose their favourites.

The 12 pictures with the most votes (in the form of ‘likes’) will be featured in our calendar, and each of the top 12 entrants will also be given a £100 cash prize for their school. Voting will close on October 27, with the winners announced on October 31.

Kayleigh Williams, lettings negotiator in the Bridgnorth office, came up with the idea of The Big Draw, and says: “Each year we produce a calendar which we send to clients and local businesses, and we thought it would be nice to do something a bit different.

“We all have a vision of our dream home and we thought it would be great fun to see what ideas the children come up with. We hope they let their imaginations run wild and are looking forward to seeing swimming pools at the top of castle towers, zoos in the garden and that sort of thing.”
