Beaujolais Event- Coach and Horses in Shrewsbury
A local firm of chartered surveyors annual charity lunch has raised more than £700 to support a Shropshire Hospice.
Nock Deighton's Beaujolais event at the Coach and Horses in Shrewsbury, saw £735 raised for Severn Hospice, a charity dedicated to providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to those living with incurable illnesses, such as cancer. The hospice opened over 20 years ago and cares for around 2,800 patients a-year across Shropshire and Mid Wales.
The event welcomed many guests, including representatives from national banks, local solicitors, surveyors, and estate agents, who enjoyed a sit-down meal, charity auction and prize raffle. The firm has been hosting the annual event for over 25 years, during which time it has raised money for a number of worthy causes, including Help for Heroes and Children in Need.
David Perrin, Director of Nock Deighton, commented: This years event was a huge success and it raised a fantastic sum of money for a very worthy charity. Severn Hospice provides such great care and support to thousands of people across the region each year, and wed like to thank our guests for giving so generously.
Mike Perry of Severn Hospice said: We would like to say a huge thank you to Nock Deighton for hosting the event dedicated to raising money for Severn Hospice, and also for the kindness of the guests who attended. We rely greatly on the generosity of the public for around two thirds of our income each year, and it is through events such as this that we are able to achieve this.
