3 bedroom detached house for sale

Three bedroom detached home
Extensive gardens with vegetable garden and outbuildings
Paddock in excess of one acre
Driveway parking plus double garage
Wonderful countryside views from the house and gardens
Two substantial loose boxes with feed room

Field Cottage is a very attractive double fronted character home with a double garage. The property is located in Kemberton which is an extremely sought after village set within easy commuting distance of Bridgnorth and Telford with Train Stations nearby that offer direct services to Birmingham and London.

The M54 and M6 motorways are just a 10 minute drive from the property which provide access to a wide range of destinations and airports.

Please note that our client is building a small single dwelling to the side of Field Cottage for themselves to live in. Careful planning and thought has gone in to the new property's plans so that it has as little impact as possible on Field Cottage. For example, there will be no windows on the side facing Field Cottage and it will only be single storey at the rear.

Field Cottage itself is a very attractive detached double fronted home with three spacious bedrooms and extensive ground floor space for occassional bedrooms, entertaining and living.

Whilst the property benefits greatly from previous extensions and enhancements, preservation of the original character and appearance of the property have always been a priority. Further planning permission to extend over the garage has been granted but recently lapsed.

The ground floor consists of the formal living room with open Baxi fire, reception hall with window seat, office/drawing room which would also suit as an occassional bedroom, w/c with useful storage, L-shape kitchen and then a garden room to the rear with double doors opening out to the garden and fish ponds. The kitchen which has Corian work surfaces, oak doors and a very useful pantry is the ideal "hub" for the home with the reception hall and garden room at each end.

Upstairs, there are three well proportioned double bedrooms with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The master bedroom is en-suite with the remaining two bedrooms being serviced by the family bathroom. There are a number of preserved original features on the first floor including an open fireplace and wooden sash windows. The property is fully double glazed barring the small original porch windows with the majority having been replaced in 2011 with Argon filled units.

Outside, there is driveway parking for up to four vehicles in front of the large double garage which even with two cars inside provides space for storage and utility area.

To the rear, there are two loose boxes and a feed room complete with pathway to the gated paddock. The loose boxes are lockable offering excellent storage if not used for horses. The garden which enjoys the sun all day long offers its users a peaceful place to enjoy and relax regardless of the time of day. There is a generous lawn area, extensive stocked borders, vegetable garden including an established asparagus bed, greenhouse and an orchard offering a variety of fruit.

To the rear of the garden is a paddock which will be included in the sale. There is also access to this from the rear and it is in excess of one acre in size.

Kemberton is a small unspoilt village with its own public house/restaurant, church and village hall. There is typically high demand for houses in the area but very little supply due to it's popularity.

Home buyers are attracted to Kemberton as commuting is very easy regardless of which mode of transport is used. Field Cottage has been the perfect long term family home for the current owners and because of the sympathetic but comprehensive way it has been maintained the new owners will no doubt be delighted with it.
